Shahid Evidence · SMIMA — Sudan Media Intelligence & Monitoring Daily Media Monitoring Brief — Sudan Tuesday 3 November 2026

Executive Summary
• Strikes move from power stations to fuel queues: a drone hit a fuel station in the central market of Al-Abbasiya Tagali (South Kordofan) while residents queued for fuel. Tolls conflict: at least 4 killed and more than 10 injured (Dabanga), 7 killed and 36 injured (Sudan Tribune), "more than 16" (Atheer News). A local platform attributes the drone to the RSF; neither the RSF nor the authorities have commented.
• Blue Nile — two conflicting accounts: the Tasis alliance says it captured the Sali military base (about 60 km from Damazin), a day after the army said it had repelled an attack there. The army says its air defences shot down a "hostile" drone coming from Ethiopia. Activists report about 8,000 displaced in Qaysan.
• Egypt and the Port Sudan authority in the "2+2" mechanism in Cairo: Egypt signals readiness to activate "joint defence" measures, rejects "parallel entities", criticises unilateral management of the GERD, and condemns drone attacks "launched from a neighbouring country" without naming it.
• Kordofan: fighting resumes in North and West Kordofan; the army-allied Joint Force announces the death of its Kordofan-axis operations commander, Brig. Gen. Haroun Mursal "Abu Takka".
• Hunger: a UNICEF and Nutrition Cluster report (January–September) finds 49% of 2026 nutrition surveys above the emergency threshold, including 13 of 17 in Darfur. A displaced-persons coordination body records 2,750 malnutrition cases in Kalma camp in October. The Port Sudan authority's energy ministry declares a "state of emergency" and a plan to rehabilitate about 18 damaged stations.
